Snow Days

Do you know how many snow days Jefferson County Schools have to use? Not that the weather hasn’t been warmer than normal but I saw that we could be getting some snow either this week or next week.

Yes, there are ten snow days that are accumulated from an extended school day and would not have to be made up. Additionally, the Department of Education has identified other days that could be utilized as make up days, should the DOE exceed ten snow days. Several of those potential make up days would be during the scheduled winter break that comes in mid February and another is during April.
