New Market Christmas Parade

Locals in the New Market community came out last weekend to welcome their annual Christmas Parade. Children of all ages lined the streets to greet the line of First Responders, church floats, horses and riders and, of course, Santa. The Shriners had a large and welcomed presence in the parade, as they brought out the clowns and the tiny cars to the delight of the crowd. Tractors, ATV’s and even a motor home were all a part of the parade action. Candy flew through the air, as children rushed to scoop up some of the sweet bounty. The parade came to a close when the man of the hour, Santa, made his appearance signaling the end of the line of merriment and the promise of a Christmas Eve visit.
