Susan Gaddis Gass, Jefferson County, TN Assessor Of Property

I am currently the Assessor of Property of Jefferson County. I have served two terms and I am seeking a third term. Prior to being elected I was the chief deputy in the assessor’s office. In 1997 I received my Tennessee Certified Assessor designation from the Tennessee State Board of Equalization. I maintain an efficient and friendly office. I love my job serving the citizens of JeffersonCounty and wish to keep the job so I am asking for your vote and support in the upcoming Republican primary on March 1, 2016.

Personal: I am 57 years old, married for 38 years to Bill Gass. We have two children, daughter Julia Finchum and husband Blake and son Robert and wife Jessica Byrd Gass. We are also blessed with five grandchildren. I am the daughter of Bob Gaddis and the late Robbie Welch Gaddis.

Education: I was a member of the first graduating class from JeffersonCountyHigh School, attended WalterStateCommunity College and CarsonNewmanCollege. As the chief deputy and then assessor I have completed various classes offered by the State of Tennessee Division of Property Assessments and International Association of Assessing Officers required to obtain and retain a Tennessee Certified Assessor Designation.

Activities: I am an active member of SwannsylvaniaBaptistChurch where I serve as a substitute Sunday school teacher and Bible school craft coordinator. My husband and I also own Sandy Ridge Vineyards. I also serve on the agriculture committee for JeffersonCounty. My favorite charities that I actively    support are Life Outreach, the Jefferson County Humane Society and area volunteer fire departments.

Honors: Republican Woman of the year 2014 and Republican Public Service award 2010.
