Voting for Property Assessor While Democrat

I was wondering if I can vote for Property Assessor if I am voting Democrat? My friend said that they are only on the Republican Ticket.

Actually, your friend is correct. Both of the candidates that are seeking the office of Property Assessor are Republicans and are running in the Republican Primary. Because voters must either vote in the Democrat or Republican Primary election, if you elect to vote in the Democrat Primary you will not be voting for Property Assessor. If there was a Democrat seeking the office then there would be a contested General Election but there is no Democrat candidate for that office.
