Time Changes

Well, I don’t know about you, but I wish “the powers that be” would finally decide to stop messing with our clocks. Once again, we have adjusted the time. This time to “spring forward.” Believe me, the only way I can remember which way to go is with the phrases, “spring forward,” and “fall back.” Now I have to just remember if it is Spring or Fall. As I get older, this may also become an issue.

It is already an issue for my body, as it is never in sync with the time changes. Somebody failed to get the message across that time has indeed changed. My body does not understand that it now needs to awake at a different time, after all, it just got the last change into memory. This means that I will probably be late, or at least in a constant hurry. Bed time is a nightmare as I lay in bed hoping to just go to sleep. But, sleep will elude me, for many nights, as my body tries to adjust to a new rhythm. I think I’m too old for this, although I can’t think of any age, other than infancy, the time change would not affect negatively.

I have to say, it will be nice to have a longer day, but how about those dreary winter months when more daylight would really be appreciated? Well, I guess I have vented long enough, but searching my memories from pre time-change years, I can’t remember there being a problem with a constant time! Here’s hoping your body (and mine) will adapt more quickly than past years.
