The bunnies were hopping and the candy was flying as the 2016 New Market Easter Parade came to town on Saturday, March 26. As has become an annual tradition, families lined the streets to welcome the parade and catch a glimpse of the Easter Bunny. Everything from Church and Community floats to Horses, antique cars and, of course, Fire Engines, made their way to their final destination by way of local streets and to the applause and cheers of their watchful, waiting audience. The community came out in force to welcome this year’s parade, which is hosted by the New Market Volunteer Fire Department. To the delight of the local children, the mid day parade was followed by a fun filled egg hunt, also sponsored by the New Market Volunteer Fire Department.
