Glenmore Victorian Mansion in Jefferson City will be hosting a Spring Garden Market on Saturday, May 7, from 9: a.m. until 2: p.m.

A luncheon will be served in the Tea Time Tent from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Seventeen vendors with flowers, vegetable plants, garden items and green plants will be available. There will be strawberry for sale and strawberry shortcake, will also be served in the Tea Time Tent. Again this year will be an antique tractor show. We will also have entertainment from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm.

This annual spring event is the opening date for the tour season, held May through October. Guided tours of the mansion will be available on the half-hour beginning at 9:30 a.m. Cost is $5 for adults and $2 for ages 12 and under. There is no cost for admission to the grounds.

Proceeds are to restore and preserve one of the Southeast’s best example of Second Empire architecture. Glenmore is restored and maintained by the volunteers of the Glenmore chapter of the Association for the Preservation of Tennessee Antiquities (APTA). The APTA is the oldest historic preservation organization in Tennessee.
