PUBLIC NOTICE OF SPECIAL SESSION OF JEFFERSON COUNTY COMMISSION

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to all County Commissioners and residents of Jefferson County, Tennessee, and to all other persons who might be interested, that the Jefferson County Commission will meet in Special Session for an open, public meeting on Monday, May 23, 2016, at 6:00 p.m. in the Main Courtroom of the Jefferson County Courthouse, 202 W. Main St, Dandridge, Tennessee.  Chairman Carmichael has called the special session upon written application by a majority of the members.  The purpose of the meeting is to discuss and take action on the following:

  1. A request from the Jefferson County Sanitation Dept/Landfill to purchase a parcel of land; and
  2. A request from the Jefferson County Board of School Commissioners to accept a non-matching grant in the amount of $10,253 from the Niswonger Foundation and $1,320 from a private citizen to support the Jefferson County Schools’ Summer STEM Camp.

NOTICE IS GIVEN pursuant to the provisions of the Tennessee Open Meetings Act (Sunshine Law) found in T.C.A. § 8-44-101 et seq.
