Fruity Cream Cheese Spread

recipe-entreeBagels and cream cheese are one of my favorite breakfast foods. Add some fruit to the mix and it’s even better. I always prefer to make my own spreads and dips when I’m able as I can control exactly what goes into it. This fruity cream cheese spread is so simple to make and can be switched up to include your favorite fruit. I personally like strawberries or blueberries, but go ahead and try another kind of berry, peaches, or mangoes or even add a dash of cinnamon to the mix. You could also skip the fruit altogether and opt for a teaspoon of vanilla and a tablespoon of honey. The possibilities are only limited by your tastes.

Ingredients:

8 oz cream cheese, cut into cubes

1 cup fruit, roughly chopped

2 – 3 t sugar

Directions:

Place all ingredients into a food processor or blender. Pulse until cream cheese is creamy and fruit is blended into cream cheese. Taste for sweetness and add more sugar as desired.
