Food Preservation Workshop July 11 & 12 from 4:00-8:00 p.m.

CanningUT Extension is offering a Food Preservation Workshop July 11 and 12 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. During the workshop the participants will learn to safely preserve food through drying, freezing, water bath and pressure canning methods. The participants will get hands on experience through making jelly, pickles, salsa and pressure canning green beans. This workshop is for teens and adults. If you are interested, you need to call the Extension office at 865-397-2969. The cost of the workshop is $40.00 and must be paid in advance to hold your spot.
