Dandridge Yacht Club’s 30th Annual Fourth of July Boat Parade

On Monday, July 4th, the Dandridge Yacht Club (DYC) will sponsor the 30th annual July Fourth of July Boat Parade.  Sponsored and organized by the DYC each year, this FREE event is open to the public. Anyone can participate in the parade and festivities.  We always want the longest parade of boats possible.  If you would like to join in on the fun just decorate your boat and meet at Point 8 across from Henderson Island at 11:00 – 11:30 AM on Monday, July 4th. The parade starts promptly at 12 noon.

The best, most wildly decorated boats in two classes will win VALUABLE PRIZES for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place from local restaurants and stores.  The judges are all independent of the DYC.

The parade starts promptly at 12 noon from Point 8 across from Henderson Island, then goes around the Island, then towards Dandridge under the green bridge and ending at the old silos.  The parade lasts about 2 hours.

This is the original & largest July 4th Boat Parade, dating back to the mid-1980s. There are many spectators onshore and in other boats so bring your horns, party-goers, and cheerleaders.
