Tomato Season

I have been looking for tomatoes all season and there just doesn’t seem to be any. Was this just a really bad year or did I somehow miss the season?

Very hot temperatures and dry conditions, combined with early hot weather, made this a bad season for tomatoes. It is unfortunate but many weekend gardeners and professional farmers just didn’t have much of a crop. If you are looking some to can or freeze, they can be bought in bulk in Grainger County. You might check out the local farmer’s markets to see if any are available from second plantings.
