Pine Fest Comes To White Pine, September 17, 2016

Pine Fest 2 2016The Town of White Pine will host “Pine Fest” on September 17, 2016 from 10 am until 6 pm. Downtown streets will be blocked off for a variety of craft booths and food. The parking lot adjacent to the funeral home will have a display of antique tractors and engines set up. A variety of businesses and churches will be set up to give away items as well. Entertainment will be provided throughout the day featuring top artist “Lost Creek Band”, Blue Reign from Virginia, local artist Reagan Willis, and many more. A local church will be making homemade apple butter and selling it as well. A tent will be set up with a petting zoo and exotic animals for kids and kids at heart to enjoy! Other kid’s activities will also be happening! The library will be set up as a History Museum containing old photographs, and memorabilia. Citizens are urged to come by and sign a registry for their family’s settlement dates into White Pine as well as a registry for students that attended White Pine School. A photo contest is also going on through the Facebook page “living in White Pine”. The Town will be selling shirts to festival goers and also history books for a reduced price.
