INVITATION TO BID – Jefferson County School Board Additions And Renovations To White Pine School Bid Package #2

INVITATION TO BID

Jefferson County School Board will be accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors for the Additions and Renovations to White Pine School-Bid Package #2. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope with an envelope cover issued by the construction manager.

Sealed bids are due October 13, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. EDST, at which time the bids will be opened publically and read aloud. The location of receiving bids shall be White Pine School, 3060 Roy Messer Highway, White Pine, TN, 37890. Bids may be submitted by mail. If the bidder mails or hand delivers their bid prior to bid day, bidder shall mail or deliver the bid to the Jefferson County Finance Department located at 1244 Gay Street (Highway 92), Dandridge, TN. If bidder submits his bid by hand delivery on Bid Day, Bidder shall be required to delivery to place of the public opening of the bids as noted herein. The mailing address is P. O. Box 1749, Dandridge, TN 37725. Bidder shall be responsible for timely delivery of bids. Oral, email, and telephone bids will not be accepted. Erasure or other changes in the bids must be explained or noted over the signature of the bidder.

Bid Package #2 is dependent on a schedule that is outlined in Bid Package Manual #2. Time is of the essence due to school schedules. Bidders should carefully review this schedule prior to submission of bids.

A pre-bid conference will be held on October 4, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. EDST to review the scope of work(s) for Bid Package #2, take any questions and at that time the project will be available for a brief site visit and review. The project site will also be available for site visits on October 10, 2016 from 2:00 to 5:00.
