Planning Meeting will be held January 15, 2013, UT Extension Office in Dandridge
at 6 PM

A 2013 planning meeting for the Dandridge Farmers Market will be held on Tuesday, January 15, 2013, at 6 PM at the UT Extension Office on Lake Drive in downtown Dandridge. The Dandridge Farmers Market is an activity of the Dandridge Community Trust, the “Trust.”

Agenda items include market start date; possible rule changes; fee structure; smart phone payment systems to increase sales; status of park, pavilion, and water access concept proposal at east end of Dandridge Dike; status of TN statewide Farmers Market Association; ideas for rack card and distribution; and other items suggested by attendees. All past vendors and those interested in the market are invited to attend and participate. If you have questions or a suggestion for agenda items, please contact Barbara Garrow at 865-368-9097. If you have been a vendor at the Dandridge Farmers Market and plan to participate in the 2013 market, the Trust would like to market you on a Farmers Market web page of its website. Please bring to the meeting a brief write-up of what you want to be featured about your products such as what your grow or make, how you do it (traditional farming or natural/ organic), when is it available, what other services you offer such as a CSA or delivery system, where you are located, when you plan to be at market, and any website, email or other contact information you would like to be made public. Those that would like to sell their farm or garden products at the market are invited to come to this meeting. 2013 applications will be available at the meeting or can be emailed to you. The Dandridge Farmers Market is in its sixth year and it prides itself on providing locally-grown produce and products to its customers. Producers may operate in Jefferson county or one of the surrounding counties.
