Resolve to Give Blood

Medic Regional Blood Center hopes that blood donation is on top of the list for New Year’s Resolutions. “If all donors gave just one more donation per year, our area would rarely experience a blood shortage,” explains Christi Fightmaster, Director of Public Relations. Medic is the sole provider of blood for 21 counties and 27 area hospitals throughout the greater East Tennessee region. Area patients depend on volunteer blood donors to do their part to keep the community safe and healthy.

Donors who give blood during the month of January will also be entered to win a trip for two to Graceland—home of Elvis Presley. This package includes tickets to Graceland, hotel stay and a gas card. By registering to donate, you are officially entered to win the prize. The winner will be announced in February.

Donors are always welcome at one of Medic’s two donor centers: 1601 Ailor Avenue and 11000 Kingston Pike behind Pittsburgh Paints in Farragut. There are also several community drives for added convenience.
