Organizers and volunteers of Habitat for Humanity can usually be found working around the local area and helping the community. On Saturday, the organization gave back to its most valuable tool of success: its customers. Habitat for Humanity hosted its annual Customer Appreciation Day on Saturday. The event lasted from 11 to 2 at their main locale, located just off of Highway 92 in Jefferson City. Customer Appreciation Day was especially important for organizers, as they wanted to show the community appreciation for their continued support over the years.

Habitat for Humanity Director Shelia Wiggins commented that community support was essential for Habitat for Humanity to continue their missions within the community. Participants of the event included musical groups Deeper Faith and Dave Seratt, along with several youth groups from area churches taking part in the youth group challenge. A variety of food and treats were sold at the event, along with a sale on almost everything in the store for customers.
