A Barking Good Time

It was a barking good time at the Jefferson County Humane Society 1st Annual Pet Expo, as folks and their furry friends came out to support a great cause and have some family friendly fun. Vendors offered their wares and the fare added to the old time carnival nature. Some lucky pets found their forever home and others were micro chipped to make sure they could be located if lost. In addition, folks could pick up something special at the silent auction. One highly anticipated activity of the day was the dog show, where cute pooches of every size and variety could compete is several different categories. The Jefferson County Humane Society is located at 310 Landfill Road in Jefferson City and is always looking for volunteers and supporters in their quest to care for and place animals in need in Jefferson County.
