Events Ahead at Carson-Newman University

Alumni and student alike have a lot to look forward to at Carson-Newman for the rest of the fall semester. Many events are taking place that will appeal to a variety of audiences, so gather up your friends and a planner, because you don’t want to miss out for even one minute.

October usually has a heavy homecoming focus at Carson-Newman. The university will hold its annual homecoming celebration for alumni and students, alike, on October 28th and 29th. During this time lots will be happening on campus, including breakfast for alumni and friends, a golf tournament, and the famous homecoming parade.

From October 20th to the 23rd, Carson-Newman’s theatre department will hold its production of Big Fish in the Gentry auditorium. The play is open to students and guests, alike.

November will host opportunities to give back to the community. On November 9th, visitors will have the opportunity to take part in a Medic Blood Drive from 12:00-6:00 P.M. in the student activities center. On November 11th, CN will host a volleyball game against Brevard from 7 to 9 p.m. Of course, students will be excited for Thanksgiving Break from November 23rd to 27th. This will be followed by the last day of classes on November 30th.

December marks the end of the fall semester for students as they begin preparations for Christmas Break and the upcoming spring semester. On the 2nd the university is holding the 10 minute play festival for students, which will be occurring during semester exams and December commencement.
