JAMES E. (JIM) RECTOR
James E. (Jim) Rector, age 83, of Talbott, TN passed away Saturday, October 15, 2016 at Jefferson City Health and Rehab following an extended illness. He was of the Baptist faith and a retired truck driver from Roadway Express with 31 years of service. Member of Tate Springs Masonic Lodge # 438. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite and a Shriner. Preceded in death by daughter, Jana Rector; and parents, John and Ethel Rector; sister, Jenny Massey. Survived by loving wife of 40 years, Carolyn F. Rector; sons, James (Pete) Rector, Chris and Frank Rector, all of Knoxville; daughter, Shannon Claxton of Knoxville; step-son, Alan McNish of Talbott; step-daughter, Debra Hurst of Jefferson City; 4 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; and 1 great great granddaughter; brother, John Rector, several nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends Monday evening from 6:00 until 7:00 pm prior to a Masonic service to be held at 7:00 pm by Tate Springs Masonic Lodge #438.
