INVITATION TO BID

Jefferson County School Board will be accepting sealed bids from qualified contractors for selected bid packages on the Additions and Renovations to White Pine School-Bid Package # 3.  Bids shall be in a sealed envelope with an envelope cover issued by the construction manager.

Sealed bids are due November 7, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. EST, at which time the bids will be opened publically and read aloud.  The location of receiving bids shall be White Pine School, 3060 Roy Messer Highway, White Pine, TN, 37890.  Bids may be submitted by mail.  If the bidder mails or hand delivers their bid prior to bid day, bidder shall mail or deliver the bid to the Jefferson County Finance Department located at 1244 Gay Street (Highway 92), Dandridge, TN.  If bidder submits his bid by hand delivery on Bid Day, Bidder shall be required to deliver to place of the public opening of the bids as noted herein.  The mailing address is P. O. Box 1749, Dandridge, TN  37725.  Bidder shall be responsible for timely delivery of bids. Oral, email, and telephone bids will not be accepted. Erasure or other changes in the bids must be explained or noted over the signature of the bidder.

Bid Package # 3 includes the following work categories (scopes of work):

1.    Demolition
2.    Aluminum Storefronts, Glass & Glazing
3.    Drywall Systems and Metal Stud Framing, Acoustical Ceiling Systems, Acoustical Wall Treatment.
4.    Flooring and Base
5.    Painting
6.    Elevators
7.    Fire Protection
8.    Plumbing
9.    HVAC Work

Bid Package # 3 is dependent on a schedule that is outlined in Bid Package Manual # 3.  Time is of the essence due to school schedules.  Bidders should carefully review this schedule prior to submission of bids.

The project site will be available for site visits on November 1, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:00.
