Donating Children’s Coats to Schools

I would like to know if there is a place to drop off coats for children in my child’s school. I read in the Jefferson County Post that coats are being collected for Piedmont School but that is not where my child goes to school and I would like to make a couple of coat donations.

Generally, you can contact the school and they will be able to take your donations. Some schools have a clothes closet for students in need and others just contact teachers in the grade level that your items would fit to see who has needs. It is nice that you are willing to donate and not everyone is able to get to donation centers when coats are handed out. Often teachers and school officials end up purchasing or soliciting donations for students in need. I am sure that your items will be appreciated.
