The Town of Dandridge held their annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on the evening of December 1st. The Dandridge Ministerial Association is the organizer of the event and it has become tradition for the Dandridge Elementary School Chorus to provide music for the ceremony. The Town Christmas Tree is located at the front of the Historic Jefferson County Courthouse. This year the tree, donated by the Jefferson County Post, has grown in size, standing a spectacular 16 feet tall. Beautiful decorations for the tree were crafted by locals and visitors during the recent Merriment on Main Street event that kicked off the Christmas Season in Historic Dandridge. Create by the Lake provide the materials for the lovely ornaments, which will adorn the Town Christmas Tree for the entire season. Those that wish to pick up their keepsake ornament can do so after the Holidays at Create by the Lake. Folks are encouraged to visit the Historic Town Square and view the Tree as it shines brightly from the Courthouse veranda and check out the ornaments that truly make it a community Christmas Tree.
