Christmas Break is Here for Jefferson County Schools!

The holidays are just around the corner and that means that Christmas break is almost here for several school systems in the area. The break includes both Christmas Break, a small allowance for New Years, and, finally, administrative days for teachers and staff.

Jefferson County’s Christmas Break begins December 19th and continues until December 30th. An extended New Year’s holiday will be given on January 2nd, and classes will resume on January 5th. Hamblen County will also begin their break on December 19th, and it will continue through December 1st. Classes will resume in Hamblen County on January 3rd.

Sevier County will begin their holiday break just a few days before Christmas. Christmas Break in Sevier County begins on December 23rd and continues until January 5th. Classes will resume on January 6th in Sevier County. Knox County will also begin their Christmas Break on December 23rd until January 5th. Knox County will go back to class on January 9th.

Parents and students are reminded to have a safe and happy break. Be sure to pay attention to the dates listed above so you know when to send the kids back to school in the coming New Year.
