Happy New Year from the Jefferson County Post!

It’s no secret that 2016 was a year of highs and lows. Tensions ran high throughout the election year, and America experienced one of its most vitriolic elections in the past century. Wildfires raged through our communities, and lives, businesses, and homes were lost. In spite of these adversities, 2016 will, for many in the area, mark a year when neighbors came together to shelter and provide for those in need mere weeks after it seemed the nation could not be more divided. Whether your memories of 2016 consist of spending time with family and friends, visiting the Great Smokey Mountains National Park, grabbing a tan at the beach, or even meeting new people while hunting for Pokemon, the New Year is here! From all of us here at the Jefferson County Post, have a happy New Year, and we look forward to spending 2017 with you!
