Dandridge Water Concerns

I would like to know if there are any indications that the water in Dandridge is clearing up? My water still has an usual color and I am afraid to wash my light colored clothes in case they get stained. I have informed the Water Department and am trying to be patient but it is really inconvenient.

The Town of Dandridge is in the process of replacing some of the older pipes in hopes that that will clear up the issue but homes with galvanized pipes may still see discoloration. The good news is that the water is safe to drink, according to recent testing, and it is expected to eventually clear up according to KUB who the Town buys their water from. Those that are having ongoing issues can contact the Water Department or Town Hall. A public meeting is being set to address the water issue and the time and place will be announced soon.
