Two Jefferson County High School Patriot Football players made the next step in their academic and football careers. Wednesday was National Signing Day for college football, with hundreds of football players making that commitment to their prospective schools; Patriot Football was not left out.

Jonathan Anderson, center for the Patriots, made the commitment to sign with Thomas More College in Crestview Hills, Kentucky. Located in a suburb near Cincinnati, Thomas More offers many opportunities that appealed to Anderson. “I’m majoring in athletic training, and they have a five year program. The biggest thing is in the fifth year, they offer an internship with the Cincinnati Bengals, which is in the NFL. Their football program is impressive, and was the one school that stuck out to me the most.”

Tucker Seay, linebacker for the Patriots, signed with Berry College in Rome, Georgia. “I had a few offers, and Berry really was it for me. They have a great campus, a good football program that is in its fifth year, and they finished first in their conference last year. The year before they had a really great season, and to see that in only four years seemed like it would be really good for me. I could be successful there, and the programs there are great. They have a really good kinesiology program, which I’m planning on studying. They have really good work study programs, so you can pay off your college while you’re there.”

Congratulations to both young men, and best wishes as they move forward to the next step. Way to make all of us here at the Jefferson County Post Patriot Proud!
