Jefferson County Democrats Meet and Elect New Officers

Members of the Jefferson County Democrats met today at the Jefferson City Library to elect new officers. The meeting quickly moved through the process of nominations and voting. Five positions in total were voted upon, as well as additions to the executive member committee.

John Sonnen was voted again as the Chair of the Jefferson County Democrats. Sonnen has been serving as chair since 2013. The Vice Chair will now be occupied by Edna Langley. Deylnn LeJong-McCash will now serve as the Secretary and Anne Bloomquist will fulfill the role of treasurer. The Jefferson County Democrats Seargent at Arms will continue to be Perry Snyder. Three new additions were made to the board of executive members. After the votes were taken committee members and new officers gathered together to take the official oath of office. Once the oath had been taken, the meeting augured into small discussion groups addressing recent events.
