The community gathered this Easter weekend for an Easter egg hunt at Centennial Park in Jefferson City hosted by Mt. Vale Church of God. This is the second year that the church held the event at the park. The celebration included inflatables, a playground, food, and egg hunts for all ages. Volunteers gathered over 7,000 eggs for the event and spent over two hours distributing them around the park. There was even special incentive for egg hunters with a prize egg for each age group. Winners of the prize eggs found themselves $50 richer for their effort.

Of course, Mt. Vale also wanted to use the interaction with the community to remind everyone about the real reason for Easter. Everyone was reminded of the crucifixion and resurrection of Christ through the generosity and prayers of the church. Mt. Vale Church of God would like to thank the community for their continued support and the volunteers for their faithful dedication and hard work.
