Chamber to Host Annual Golf Classic

The Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce has set its Annual Golf Classic for Friday, May 19th at Lost Creek Golf Club in New Market. This tournament is one of Jefferson County’s largest, drawing from all areas of East Tennessee and from various businesses and industry from within Jefferson County and surrounding areas. The title sponsors for this year’s tournament are Appalachian Electric Cooperative and Carson-Newman Dining & Catering Services.  This year’s event will feature a four-person, best-ball scramble format. Prizes will be awarded to the top-3 finishing teams as well as 10th & 15th respectively. Additional prizes will be awarded for Most Accurate Drive, Closest-to-the-Pin and Hole-in One. The Hole-in-One challenge sponsored by Tarr Chevrolet will feature the opportunity to win a new car provided.

Registration for the event will begin at 11:30 a.m. and will include greens fee, cart and lunch. The shotgun start will follow shortly thereafter at 1:00 p.m. The cost is $100 per player ($400/team) and the deadline to register a team for the event is Friday, May 12, 2017.
