It’s Not Too Late To Register For All Saints Episcopal School 2017 Summer Camp

All SaintsAll Saints’ Episcopal School is excited to announce its line-up of activities for 2017 Summer Camp. For over 30 years All Saints has provided a quality, memory making and entertaining Summer Camp program for children in the Lakeway Area. The program runs from May 30 – July 28 and offers full and half day camps for ages 2 – 11 years old. Summer Camp Director, Lauren Carpenter looks forward to sharing a summer of fun and activities with campers. “This year we are adding onsite field trips, Bible time, and special activities throughout the summer,” states Lauren. “We will host special guests who can share hands-on learning experiences with the children in areas of farming, gardening, science experiments, and much more.” She shares her special excitement about coordinating an onsite petting zoo visit to tie in the farming week theme in July as an example of age appropriate, engaging activities to fill the summer days. Special activities also include bike days, water days, themed arts & crafts and Show-and-Tell. Weekly themes include money, family, space, music and much more.

In addition to weekly themes, special enrichment programs will be provided for the children, most included in the camp cost. These include but aren’t limited to include orchestra & vocal music, cooking, calligraphy, Spanish, and art. All Saints’ Summer Camp attendees also receive a complimentary t-shirt.

Director Lauren Carpenter previously worked in the All Saints’ Summer Camp Program. She is a 2014 East High graduate and a Senior at UT majoring in Psychology. She has experience as a Camp HOPE counselor and substitute instructor. “I am thrilled to lead a program that I’ve enjoyed working with in the past,” states Carpenter. “The priority has been, and will be to continue to be, providing a activity-filled program of fun for our campers.” Head of School Mark Workman echoes this sentiment acknowledging this program offers a rich history of loving and engaging each child. “We recognize the relevance of summer in a child’s memory and experience growing up,” states Workman. “We make our Summer Camp program nurturing and purposeful for just this reason.”
