Jefferson City Public Library Opens Summer Reading Registration

Jefferson City Public Library’s Summer Reading Programs online registration is open! Links are on our Facebook page and the JCPL tab at www.jcpls.org . The official sign-up week is starts June 6th and runs all week. On June 8th, 9th, and 10th Kierval Productions will This year we have programs for all ages. Below is the program line up for our CHILDREN’S programs. Some programs require registration due to limited space and / or technology. Some programs are all ages.

STEAM thru Summer with MUSE
Tuesday, June 13th at 2 pm
REGISTRATION REQUIRED. MUSE of Knoxville will have Dino-scopes, Ozobots, Littlebits, Wind & Solar Cars, and Building Honeycombs for you to explore. Limited space.

Protect & Preserve
Tuesday, June 20th at 2 pm
This humorous puppet performance promotes environmental awareness and information about the Great Smoky Mountains National Park.

Boats & Buoyancy
Tuesday, June 27th at 2 pm
We will be designing, engineering and testing boats that must keep a minimum of 10 pennies afloat. PLEASE BRING 10 PENNIES.

Book & CD Art
Wednesday, July 5th at 2 pm
REGISTRATION REQUIRED. We will be making art using books, magazines & CDs.

Make a Plan
Tuesday, July 11th at 2 pm
This 2-part puppet performance discusses bullying awareness and diversity. Meet Rosie & her friends, who learn how to address bullying in a positive way. Also a group of students that find everyone has something wonderful to offer.

Make Bananas Sing
Tuesday, July 18th at 2 pm
REGISTRATION REQUIRED. Limited space. Musical Fruit? Most anything is possible with Makey-Makey.
