JOHN TAYLOR RILEY

Riley, John Taylor age 89 of Dandridge, went to be with his Lord on July 10, 2017. He was a member of Nina Baptist Church. He was retired from New Jersey/Aasarco Mines. He was a veteran of the US Navy having served during World War II aboard the USS Tara. He is preceded in death by wife, Laura Mae Spoon Riley, wife Hazel Walker Riley, infant daughter Pamela Geneva Riley, parents Treeva and Miney Newman Riley, sisters Betty Jean Riley White and Kathleen Riley Edmonds, brother, Cleophas Riley. Survivors include his wife of 49 years Kate Loveday Riley; children, Steve (Jean) Riley and Tony (Donna) Riley all of Dandridge, Paula (Larry) Lindy of New Market and Katie (Larry) Cook of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Jeffery (Heather) Batson, Andy (fiancé Rhonda Nicely) Riley, Betsy (Brad) Mitchell and LeAndra (Dustin) Poore, all of Dandridge, Shone (Carrie) Riley of Kingsport, Chrystall (Nick) Wade of Bristol, Laura (Preston) Huckaby of Kodak and Christine (Brian) Spicer of Sevierville; great-grandchildren, Brittany and Miranda Batson, Garrett and Maeson Crusenberry, Jonah and Isaiah Mitchell, Shadyn and Lindsey Poore, Carson and Kelsey Riley, Hunter Wade, Ava Huckaby and Leanna Spicer; sisters, Helen Strange and Ogle Mae Ailey both of Dandridge, several nieces, nephews and many dear friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 from 5-7:00pm at Nina Baptist Church with funeral service to follow, officiated by Rev. Jimmy Norris. Military Graveside Interment will be on Wednesday July 12, 2017 at 10:00am in Swann’s Chapel Cemetery. The family has requested that In Lieu of Flowers Memorial Donations be made to: Nina Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 219, White Pine, TN 37890.
