PUBLIC NOTICE – IDB VACANCY

The Jefferson County Commission Nominating Committee is seeking an individual to fill a vacancy on the Industrial Development Board of Jefferson County. The term will expire on Jan. 31, 2019. Directors serve on a voluntary basis.

Candidate must be a resident of Jefferson County and be a duly qualified elector of and taxpayer in Jefferson County. No director shall be an officer or employee of Jefferson County Government.

The IDB is composed of nine members elected by the Jefferson County Legislative Body. The Board works with the Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Development Agency, local government, and regional/state economic development agencies to promote new industry, commerce, and trade, and maintain and increase employment in the County.

Candidate must submit a resume and references to the Nominating Committee at P.O. Box 1726, Dandridge, TN 37725, or email to pmitchell@jeffersoncountytn.gov. Resume and references must be received in the County Commission Office by 3:00 p.m. on Sep. 5, 2017 to be considered for the current vacancy.
