The Jefferson County Fair festivities kicked off Saturday night with the crowning of the 2017 Fairest of the Fair. Jade Davis, a senior at Jefferson County High School will be representing the Jefferson County Fair for 2017-2018. The 17 year old is the daughter of Michelle and Doug Huff. She will go on to represent the Jefferson County Fair at the state level in January.

Davis said in a brief interview on Saturday night that she is “very excited and so honored” to be crowned this year’s Fairest of the Fair. “I’m looking forward to the responsibilities,” that last years representative, Miss Makayla Wright, has prepared her to face. “I’m so excited to get involved with the community and do more; to be with all the people, and to represent the rest of these young women out here. Don’t doubt yourself, and always thank your parents. They’re there to tell you that you can do it no matter what.”

Congratulations to the 2017 Fairest of the Fair, Miss Jade Davis!
