The onslaunt of extreme Winter weather has some government employees working overtime to try and manage the swings of Mother Nature. The Highway Department generally takes the brunt of the burden when the temperatures dip, however some other County employees see an increase when the weather acts up. First responders are on alert when the road conditions get dicey and emergency vehicles put on miles responding to requests from residents. From legitimate emergencies to dealing with despondent residents that are concerned about being stuck due to weather, Jefferson County employees are busy making the treks up and down the County roads and ensuring that locals have what they need to make it through any weather event.
