AEC Line Crews Help With Hurricane Irma Restoration

AEC line crews were released from storm restoration work on Saturday, September 16 and have returned safely home. Jim Greer, Director of Operations for AEC said “We are certainly thankful to have them home safely and we are glad that we were able to help the membership of Amicalola EMC and restore electric services damaged by Hurricane Irma.” AEC crews spent 5 days in northeast Georgia assisting other utility crews in the restoration efforts. Greer continued “we are confident in the skills and expertise of our personnel and are pleased to assist our sister co-op during this most difficult time. Cooperatives are all about neighbors helping neighbors, it’s what we do.” Local crews are back on the job this week, serving the members of AEC; humbled to have made a difference for others.
