Our Loving and Gracious mom, Hazel Rines Arwood, age 83 of White Pine, was called to her heavenly home on Friday, September 29, 2017 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She attended Mt. Zion Church of God. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, JW Arwood; parents, John and Rosa Riines; sister, Bernice Faye Rines; brothers, Harold, Hollis, John Alfred and Jim Rines. She is survived by sons, Roger (Wanda) Arwood of New Market, Bo (Lisa) Arwood of White Pine, Ronald (Tracey) Arwood of Rutledge and Eric Arwood of Johnson City; daughters, Rhonda Sue Arwood, Glenda (Steve) Smelcer and Vickie (Mike) Russell all of White Pine; brother, Don (Debbie) Rines of Ohio; sisters, Dorothy Johnson of Morristown and Cora Ball of White Pine; 13 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and their families. The family would like to acknowledge and thank, Christy, Garlena, Tracey, Carolyn, Joe and entire staff of Avalon Hospice for their loving care of mom and the family. Thank You to mom’s family doctor, Dr. James Schindler and his staff; Lakeway Regional Hospital Emergency Room doctor, Elaine Frazier and staff; Dr. John Lumb and staff; Dr. Doddabele and staff and Dr. Amy Welch and Staff. A Special Thank You to her church family at Mt Zion Church of God, other church family and friends in our community for their prayers, care and concerns during her illness. At Hazel’s request there will be a private Graveside Service held for her family with the Rev. Jimmy Day and Rev. Vinson Askew officiating
