Representative Faison, Major General Haston To Honor Northeast Tennessee Veterans On Monday, October 23

State Representative Jeremy Faison (R-Cosby) and Major General Max Haston, Adjutant General of the Tennessee National Guard, today announced a ceremony to honor Northeast Tennessee’s military veterans on Monday, October 23, 2017 at 2:30 P.M.

The ceremony will be held at the Newport National Guard Armory in Newport, Tennessee. During the festivities, a tank will be placed on display and new military flags will be raised to serve as lasting reminders of the sacrifices made by the region’s brave servicemen and women. All military veterans and their families are invited to attend.

“We are fortunate in our community to have so many valiant men and women who have chosen to defend our flag and our freedom,” said Representative Faison. “This ceremony is an opportunity for us to thank these brave individuals and their families for their service and sacrifice. The monuments we will display will serve as a daily reminder to us that our freedom and way of life would not be possible without their courageous efforts.”
