Jefferson County Post Primary Debate, April 5, 2018

Jefferson County Post Primary Debate 2018 1650 010820182018 has arrived and the holiday blitz is over in Jefferson County. This is the time of year that citizens begin to look toward the upcoming election cycles and start to align with one candidate or another for many of the several offices that will be up for grabs in 2018. The Jefferson County Post will be hosting a candidate debate for elections that will be held in the May primary. The debate will take place at the Historic Jefferson County Courthouse on April 5, 2018 at 6:30 pm. Candidates that qualify for the May primary will be invited to debate their opponents using questions that are submitted from the general public. As is customary, the debate will have a Moderator and the terms will be outlined for participants and the general public prior to the debate. It will be open to the public and should provide useful information to voters as they determine which candidates will receive their vote and support.

Qualifying candidates will receive their invitation to participate following the close of qualifying time and participants names will be available for the public as soon as the Jefferson County Post receives their acceptance. We look forward to the debates and would like the public to submit questions to the Jefferson County Post directly via email to editor@jeffersoncountypost.com. All questions will be anonymous and will be vetted for appropriateness and chosen randomly by the moderator at the time of the debate. Please denote the office for which the question is submitted.
