PUBLIC NOTICE – POSITION VACANCY

Job Opening: Full-time Executive Secretary for Jefferson County Board of Commissioners. Candidate must live in Jefferson County, and if selected, be required to take a physical examination and pass a drug and alcohol test.

Work for County Legislative Body under supervision of Commission Chairman. The position requires experience in secretarial, clerical, and accounting / bookkeeping procedures. Must have an ability to work well independently and with all levels of government and the general public, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be proficient in MS Word & Excel, and be able to multitask in a fast moving environment. Candidate must submit a local and a state background check and a resume including references to the Jefferson County Commission, ATTN: Personnel Committee, P.O. Box 1726, Dandridge, TN 37725. A local background check can be requested at the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department free of charge. A State background check can be requested at the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation Office at Exit 398 off of Interstate 40. Resumes and all supporting documents must be received in the County Commission Office no later than February 22, 2018.
