Douglas William McCoig, age 75, of White Pine passed away at his home Thursday, February 08, 2018. Doug received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a young age and he felt a special love for his church family at Bear Creek Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father Ernest McCoig, mother Lillie McCoig; brothers Claude “Cotton”, Ernest “Bingo”, Herbert “Hub”; sisters Agnes Thomas, Helen “Runt” Brinkley and Hazel “Beck” Fowler.

Doug is survived by his loving niece and best friend, Susan Hefner, other nieces and nephews Gayle McCoig, Nancy Lovell, Ron Fowler, Ben McCoig, Sharon Williams, Kathy Fowler-Taylor, , Diane Keller, Wade McCoig, and Debra Pless, and brother-in-law Charles Thomas.

The family will receive friends Saturday February 10, 2018, from 11 am – 1 pm, funeral service to follow at 1:00pm with the Rev. J.W Dalton officiating. Graveside Interment Service will be in White Pine Cemetery following the service.
