FRANCES ELIZABETH LEONARD

Frances Elizabeth (Franklin) Leonard, 90, of the Piedmont Community in Dandridge, was reunited with the love of her life of 69 years on February 27, 2018. She went peacefully home after a short battle with pneumonia. Frances was a member of Piedmont Baptist Church, where she belonged to the Loyal Soldiers Sunday School Class, taught Discipleship Training, was church librarian, and helped with Vacation Bible School. Frances loved to sew, and she spent many years doing just that along with being the bookkeeper for Jasper Jones Auto Parts. She was a quiet woman with very few words, but a woman whose kindness and sweet smile showed others her great love for her Savior.

Frances was preceded in death by her devoted and loving husband Clifford Leonard; her parents, Gray and Bessie Franklin; sister and brother-in-law June and Claude Leonard; sister-in-law Thelma (Herbert) French; and brother-in-law James Leonard. She is survived by son Charles (Betty Jo) Leonard, of Jefferson City; daughter Claudia (Doug) Seals of Jefferson City; granddaughter Beth (Andy) Fortner of Memphis; grandson Noel (Emily) Seals of Asheville, NC; great granddaughters Isabella, Hannah, and Piper; sisters-in-law Helen Turner of Dandridge, Ruby (Bill) Brogan of Friendsville, and Elizabeth Leonard of Ringgold, GA; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the wonderful caregivers and staff of the Jefferson County Nursing Home for their great love, kindness, and support.

The family will be receiving of friends on Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 5:00-7:00pm at Piedmont Baptist Church with the funeral service to follow at 7:00pm, with Pastor Bob Neal officiating. Graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 2, at the Piedmont Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Piedmont Baptist Church, 1226 W.
