The Titanic attraction hosted its third annual Ice Carving Competition in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee on Saturday, January 19th. Professional and amateur’s worked throughout the morning to create beautiful sculptures, in the hopes of winning one of the top three places in each category.

The competition brought in thousands of individuals who were watching in amazement both amateurs and professionals worked hard to create their vision out of blocks of Ice. Competitors came from Pennsylvania, New York, Colorado even one home state competitor from Nashville, Tennessee.

The professional division was won by Rich Daly, Mastic Beach, NY. With the piece Duel Harmony- an ice piece of two Phoenix’s. 1st place Amateur Division was won by Chris Currier, West End, NC with the piece “Small World.” There was also speed carving competitions where four carvers dueled two at a time to make a carving in less than 10 minutes. In the finale they had less than six minutes to carve the sculpture.
