Mary Cay Khiel, Regent of the Martha Dandridge Washington Chapter (MDW) National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), was among four former Regents for the Emory Road Chapter NSDAR who were honored at the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Emory Road Chapter on April 7 at the Powell Library in Powell.

Regent Khiel was one of the organizing members. The other Regents were Martha Cummings, Marisa Moazen, and current Regent Diana West. Each lady was presented with a bouquet of red roses in honor of her service to the chapter.

In addition to the anniversary, the event celebrated the organization of the James White Society National Society Children of the American Revolution (NSCAR). Wyatt Benson was installed as president of the new society. Grace White, incoming President of the Tennessee Society (TSCAR) welcomed the new organization and its founding members who were sworn in and presented with pins recognizing their membership.

Also in attendance from the MDW Chapter NSDAR were Corresponding Secretary Jane Busdeker, Historian Katie Schmidt, and her daughter Kayley Elizabeth Schmidt who represented the Julia Doak Society NSCAR.
