Dee Price, age 80, of New Market, TN passed away Thursday morning, May 17, 2018 at Holston Valley Hospital in Kingsport after an extended illness. Dee was a beloved husband, father, and friend who will be greatly missed by all that knew him. He was a charming man, easygoing, and quick to laugh. A dedicated long time employee of Food City in Jefferson City, he enjoyed fishing in his spare time. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman W. Price and Vicie Sizemore Price of Jefferson City, his son, Gary Dee Price, his daughter, Pam Price Peer, his sister, Mavis Price Roach, and his brothers Earl Price and Tommy Price. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Josie Lewis Price, his sisters Norma Reece and Doris May, granddaughter Tosha Price, grandsons Nick Peer and Cody Price, great-granddaughter “Winter Rose”, brother-in-law Johnny Campbell, special niece Debbie Killion, and several other nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank all of those who cared for Dee during his last days.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, May 26, 2018, at Deep Springs Baptist Church, 1476 Deep Springs Rd, Dandridge, TN, with Rev. Richie Hayes officiating. The family will visit with friends after the service. Mayes Mortuary, Morristown, is in charge of arrangements.
