New Assistant District Attorney Sworn in for the Fourth Judicial District

Brett Jared Bell was sworn in today, May 3, 2018, in Jefferson County as Assistant District Attorney for the Fourth Judicial District by the Honorable Duane Slone, Circuit Court Judge. He was appointed by the Fourth Judicial District Attorney General, James B. Dunn.

Brett Bell is from Jefferson County and is the son of Bruce and Martha Bell of Jefferson City. He is married to April Bell and they have two children, Reese and Walker. Brett is a graduate of the Appalachian School of Law located in Grundy, Virginia. Prior to joining the District Attorney General’s Office, he worked in Knox County practicing law until 2012, when he decided to return home to Jefferson County. Since that time he has served the citizens of the Fourth Judicial District in his own private practice located in Dandridge.

General Dunn said, “I am very pleased that Brett Bell will be joining our office and serving the citizens of the fourth judicial district.”
