The Dandridge Fire Department offered their services to residents on Dumplin Valley Road whose property has been under 30 inches of water for several days, Anthony Well’s home has been sitting in a small pond of water after last week’s heavy rains. The Fire Department offered assistance in pumping vast amounts of water and spraying it across the street.

Excess water has been a major concern for residents on Dumplin Valley during the recent rain event. Locals were left navigating multiple spots on the road where water was freely flowing directly across the street, causing concern for black ice and icy road conditions.

The Wells have found a unique way of traveling through the high waters – Canoeing. The steep dip in temperatures may present another challenge for the Wells, as they only have heat in a portion of their home. The below the floor duct work is filled with water, preventing heat from accessing half of the home.
