The Kingdom Heirs Tickets on Sale October 1

October 1st is World Habitat Day and Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity will celebrate by opening ticket sales for a concert of Dollywood’s resident gospel group, The Kingdom Heirs. The concert will be Thursday, January 24, 2013, at First Baptist Church of Dandridge at 7 pm. Tickets cost $15 and will be available at 3 locations:

(1) First Baptist Church of Dandridge, 951 Hwy 92 North, Dandridge, TN 37725, 865.397.3940.

(3) Hand-Me-Ups Thrift Store, 490 Highway 92 North, Jefferson City, TN 37760, 865.471.7749.

Tickets will also be available for purchase by mail. Patrons can mail their checks for $15 to Jefferson County Habitat for Humanity, PO Box 346, Jefferson City, TN 37760 and tickets will be mailed to the buyer. All proceeds of the concert will be used for the development of a Habitat subdivision of 10 – 15 homes in Jefferson City.

The Kingdom Heirs are one of Southern Gospel Music’s top Male Quartets. The group sang in local churches and concert halls until they became a permanent fixture at the widely known East Tennessee theme park called Dollywood in 1986. The Kingdom Heirs have had many top ten songs and currently have had 28 top 5 songs in a row and 6 number one songs. Nominated many times for industry awards such as the SGMA Awards, Dove Awards and The Singing News Fan Awards, the group finally won Newcomer Group of the Year in 1989. From that point on, success came easy. They won Band of the Year in 2002, 2004, 2005 and 2006.
