After a day of celebrating the princes and princesses of Jefferson County, the main ceremony of the Fairest of the Fair Competition was held Saturday night.
7 lovely ladies from the surrounding area competed for the crown. Contestants were interviewed by judges, performed a dance to Blake Shelton’s version of Footloose, and were also asked to speak about what matters most to them in front of the audience. The announcement was met with cheers, applause, and excitement as Mackenzi Penrod from Rutledge Tennessee was crowned the 2018 Jefferson County Fairest of the Fair.
The excitement was almost too much for Pinrod. “I’ve been screaming pretty much since the announcement. I really want to be an image in the community, and to be the face of the fair. To be an advertisement for them, and to just let people know that we are here, we want them to be a part of this community. The fair is all about community, and that’s what I’m here for. I’m thrilled to be able to go on to Nashville, as last year I got to go as first runner up. I’ve got to see everything from the perspective of a spectator. It’s nice to have that background going in to this pageant, and I’m really excited to see what goes on the other side of things”.
Joining Pinrod on the court this year are:
Miss Congeniality: Stacy Howard
4th Runner Up: Kendall Jensen
3rd Runner Up: Hayley Bolder
2nd Runner Up: Stacy Howard
Sweetheart (1st Runner Up) Jessica Strader
Congratulations to this years’ beautiful contestants.
